To promote innovation in the global tourism industry by facilitating connections and the sharing of ideas. SIGMUND’S goal is to support the interconnectivity of the tourism industry and illustrate how collaborators can create new solutions to the challenges facing us today.
SIGMUND is open to anyone involved in the tourism industry (or who wants to be), globally, from university students to small tour operators to large travel wholesalers. Our only ask is that you are open to collaboration. We believe that we are more creative, more adaptable, and more successful when we are connected.
SIGMUND is a not-for-profit benefits corporation fully funded by private grants. With the goal of increasing innovation in the global tourism community, our only currency is collaboration. We are simply aiming to give back by looking forward.
We believe in promoting innovation by facilitating the right connections on the right projects. The SIGMUND Open • Source is a hub for the free sharing of ideas and innovative collaboration. Our Looking Forward Resource Hub aims to inspire, educate and celebrate creativity in tourism and beyond. And when your collaboration is ready to reach new heights, Sigmund offers select candidates support through our Support Program.
We are passionate about ideas at the intersection of people, planet, and profit. We’re in search of the next socially minded, environmentally conscious and fiscally sound idea to transform the tourism industry. If you are a triple bottom line thinker, you go to the top of our list. Doing well and doing good don’t have to be mutually exclusive.
From around the globe, our board of advisors includes some of the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs, CEOs, educators, and government officials from the tourism industry and beyond.
They are helping us guide this endeavor together. They may even respond to ideas on OPEN • SOURCE, and look for their comments and ideas in the Looking Forward Journal. When appropriate, they will be on the review committee for all Sigmund Investment Grant applications. We thank each one of these innovative individuals.
